Big In Japan Destroy The New Rock

Reno, Nevada's power pop punk trio Big In Japan may have never been to the nation from which they take their name, but it's only a matter of time before the words ring true. Featuring members of Zoinks and the Gain, these fellows inform their bouncy punk sound with everything from the Descendents to Cheap Trick and Elvis Costello, and the result makes for a memorable record. These 12 tracks were produced by the band and Mass Giorgini, the man whose skill has helped the likes of the Queers and Screeching Weasel. With a fat guitar sound and melodies that promise to get stuck in your head, this is one solid piece of plastic. (Honest Don’s)
