Published Oct 29, 2018On Saturday night (October 27), Courtney Love reunited with her former Hole bandmate Melissa Auf der Maur, and the pair played a string of old tunes for the crowd at the Basilica Hudson in Hudson, NY.
Love was the guest of honour at a concert dubbed "A Tribute: Celebrating the Magic and the Power" at the Auf der Maur-owned venue, amongst attendees that included the National's Aaron Dessner, Chloë Sevigny, Michael Stipe and Natasha Lyon.
At one point, Love and Auf der Maur took the stage together and were joined by a series of guests as they performed classic Hole cuts. They performed "Doll Parts" and "Miss World" alongside the Rock Academy Rebel Girls and the Hold Steady's guitarist Tad Kubler, as well as "Softer Softest" with Faith No More's Roddy Bottum.
