Published Sep 06, 2017A new George Michael single will be released posthumously tomorrow (September 7), marking the first new music from the singer since his death last year.
As NME reports, a press representative has confirmed that the track will arrive through BBC Radio 2 tomorrow at 9 a.m. UK time. Michael, who passed away Christmas Day (December 25) aged 53, had reportedly planned to release a new LP this year.
A message on Michael's official website from his sisters, Melanie and Yioda, reads that they want "to share and enjoy [Michael's] precious legacy and to continue to bring you joy — through his extraordinarily beautiful music" and "will continue bringing you all the projects [he] had been working so hard on for you."
The note adds, "We promise we will always try to honour him by staying true to his ambitions and his intentions."
