The protests, which took place in Washington, D.C. earlier today (October 4) saw a number of people detained by local police. Prior to her own detainment, Schumer shared the following video for the daughter of one of her fellow protestors:

Ratajkowski explained that she was also arrested with a post of her own:
Today I was arrested protesting the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, a man who has been accused by multiple women of sexual assault. Men who hurt women can no longer be placed in positions of power. pic.twitter.com/nnwq1O4qk3— Emily Ratajkowski (@emrata) October 4, 2018
Thousands of protestors gathered outside of Kavanaugh's workplace, the E. Barrett Prettyman Federal Courthouse, before moving to the Hart Senate Office later in the day.
Schumer was quoted as saying, "No matter how this goes, they cannot keep us down.... We will win. A vote for Kavanaugh is a vote saying women don't matter."
